The goldfish swim in sacks of plastic wrap
A child sticks his finger in the cheese
The fish falls through his grasp onto his lap
And parties in his joy of dodging seize
Away from house and pretzel cousins though
Not much enjoyed through life away from home
Although the ocean is from long ago
He longs for living in his natural dome
One day the goldfish plans his quick escape
And dreams of oceans filled with snack foods high
At pizza aunts and uncles he will gape
And spend his days until is bound to die
The goldfish quickly saw his soggy end
When cracker mixed with water learned to blend
